We have been helping beta test the upcoming major release of Accelerator.
CRM Together (publishers) have completely redone the user experience, added some practical features, and made the solution 100% web-based.
We are expecting to roll this out to new projects starting in April. Later in the spring, we will go back to existing clients currently using the ‘Classic’ version of Accelerator to upgrade their systems.
Jeff Richards (head of Sage CRM training and development) and David Beard (Sage CRM Principal) have a podcast series wherein they interview a handful of Sage CRM partners from around the world.
The series they did with me (Dan) is broken up into three 10-minute segments.
In this second episode, we spend a good chunk of the time discussing how end-using companies typically host their Sage CRM instances. We also talk about scope creep and deploying Sage CRM functionality in defined phases.
Jeff also eludes to how My CRM Manager seems to be far better at deploying Sage CRM projects than everyone else in this industry due to our structured processes (thanks Jeff!).

I (Dan) was one of the individuals they choose to interview. The series is broken up into 3 parts.
In the first episode, it is mainly an introduction to me, how I got into the business, challenges, our approach, etc.
The Sage CRM Podcast series appears in the Sage Thought Leadership podcast. If you listen to podcasts, you can download this from Apple Podcasts. I have recently subscribed to the Sage Thought Leadership podcast and find it really good.
When managing opportunities, we often have a workflow rule that forces the user to type in why the opportunity is qualified. One of our industrial sales clients took this a step further by providing staff with scorecards that prompt the user to answer a series of questions – and get a decent score – before they can progress the opportunity along.
In this candid interview with Nicole from SmithCraft signs, we start with why CRMs sometimes get a bad rap but then get into her experiences over the past 4 years in evolving her system.
My CRM Manager is a Silver Sponsor this year at the annual “Meeting of the Minds” convention on March 5th. It is (of course) a virtual convention this year and we will have a booth representing ourselves as well as both Greytrix and CRM Together.
With Greytrix, we work closely with them to constantly improve the GUMU™ for Sage 100 CRM. Through February, March, and April of 2021, we are concentrated on revamped the GUMU™ interface as well as providing more (and better looking) reports that display Sage 100 data. At the MOTM, we will be demonstrating this new interface and gathering feedback.
CRM Together publishes the most common add-ons for Sage CRM projects, including Accelerator (the Advanced Outlook integration), MobileX (recently has become the Sage endorsed solution), Crystal Manager (for running Crystal Reports within CRM), and 365 (web-portal interface).
At the booth, attendees can gather the latest and greatest about Sage CRM as well as third-party solutions related to Sage CRM.
Normally, we connect a lead in Sage CRM to just a single company and to a single person.
But what if you have multiple companies associated with a single lead?
Using our Advanced Lead Management utility, you can create as many people or companies from a lead as you require. Whatever happens to make sense to your organization!
The expression ‘Lead’ means different things to different people, sometimes it is used to label a company (or person) and other times is it used to describe the early stage of a Sales opportunity.
Within the Sage CRM application, the expression Lead is used to define unqualified data that needs to be qualified. I have had this conversation 100s of times, and it can still be complicated. My long-winded video below breaks it down for you.
Sage CRM users can create a Sage 300 Quote or Order within Sage CRM.
Not only do they not require a Sage 300 license for this feature, but it means everything related to the transaction can easily be found. A profile of opportunity, any documents, any communications – and the Quotes and Orders all in the same location.
The Sage 300 integration has a lot going for it. You can learn more on My CRM Manager’s Sage 300 page.
The developers of Google Maps for Sage CRM have recently made a slew of very strong improvements.
The new Leads feature is sold as a separate module, but the first three enhancements are all part of the core solution and available free of charge to existing clients. More information is found on the Google Maps page of the My CRM Manager website.
