Emailing Groups of Contacts from Sage CRM

Your can send out important notifications or marketing messages to groups of contacts. You can easily segment your meaningful groups from the FIND / PERSON screen or by creating a group. 

We can email these groups directly from Sage CRM or by using Sage CRM’s built-in integration with Mailchimp

My CRM Manager featured in Sage 300 Newsletter

Sage 300 has begun issuing Quarterly Newsletters and their first, published on February 2nd, 2022 had us listed in the Featured Partner section.

Emailing Individual Contacts directly from Sage CRM

You can send out specific emails to contacts from the person record, or from the context of a specific job or opportunity.  Additionally, you can leverage Sage CRM’s email templates features which make it easy to merge dat and send consistent messages. I use templates all the time.  Whenever we send out an email from Sage CRM, the system automatically records a copy of the email. 

From Outlook, using  Accelerator, we can still leverage our contacts and our Sage CRM email templates, however, the user must consciously decide if they want a copy of the email put into Sage CRM (and where).

Sage CRM Apache Vulnerability

On Friday, December 10th there was a vulnerability announced by Apache related to a logging system leveraged by Sage CRM versions 2020R2 and above. Warning

The feature that includes this vulnerability was only introduced to Sage CRM in version 2020 R2. If your companies version of Sage CRM is 2020R1 or earlier, there is nothing that needs to be done. If your system is version 2020R1 or above, you should contact your Sage CRM service provider to apply the patch.

Automatic Emails from Sage CRM

Sage CRM allows for outbound emails to automatically go out based on logic you define. Typically, this is accomplished via either an escalation rule or workflow action. I have provided a couple of examples below, however, Sage can be configured to support almost any situation can you imagine.

  • When an opportunity is reassigned to a new representative, an email can let them know.
  • You can automatically notify your customers of the status of their customer service issue. 
  • Notify an account manager if/when one of their accounts logs a job or service ticket.

ID Generation

Our ID Generator ensures a consistent naming convention for data created in Sage CRM.  This could be applied to Opportunities, Cases, Leads, or really anything. 

In this video example we use a schema of YY + Number for the opportunity + Company + Creation date of the opportunity. The logic for the ID can be whatever you want, this is just an example.

S5 Maps Recent Enhancements

S5Maps (Google Maps integration) has recently added quick links to Dun & Bradstreet as well as LinkedIn. 

There is a short video below about these enhancements and this link brings up the S5Maps page on the My CRM Manager website
